Hanoi – Ninhbinh – MuCangChai – Sapa – Halong Bay Cruise – 8D7N

You will be met upon arrival at Hanoi airport and transferred to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Literature and then drive back to central Hanoi for a 45-min cyclo tour through the famed Old Quarter known for its ‘36 streets of 36 wares’ named after the original 36 artisan guilds that date as far back as the 13th century. Conclude the day by watching an entertaining water puppet performance, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form said to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta. The show uses colourful wooden puppets to depict scenes of rural life and episodes of national history set to music.  Overnight in Hanoi.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then take 2.5-hour pleasant drive to Tam Coc, which is also known as Halong Bay on land. On arrival in Tam Coc Town, board your private sampan boat for the ninety-minute cruise along the Ngo Dong River. Pass through the three caves named Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi that made Vietnam famous in the French film ‘Indochine’. On the way, you also visit Bich Dong Pagoda.

In the afternoon, transfer to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, to visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-979), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009) who played a vital role in gaining the country’s independence after it was ruled by the Northern Force for a thousand years. Later in the afternoon, drive to Hanoi on one of Vietnam’s the most modern freeways.

After breakfast, the bus and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and depart to Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai ). On the way, you stop to take a rest and take pictures with green Thanh Son tea hills in Thanh Son (Phu Tho).

On the way to Mu Cang Chai, you sit in a car to watch the Muong Lo field stretching along both sides of the road. Listen to an introduction about the land of Tu Le famous for its delicious sticky rice and beautiful Thai girls and the famous fairy bathing custom here. Take a souvenir photo with the district symbol of Mu Cang Chai at the foot of Khau Pha pass.

Stop at the top of Khau Pha pass with an altitude of about 2100m. Khau Pha pass in the local language means Horn of Heaven where heaven and earth meet. Standing on the top of the pass, you can see the entire Khau Pha valley area, and in the distance are Lim Thai and Lim Mong villages. Here, you also have the opportunity to see professional athletes parachuting with the name “flying over the golden season” on the occasion of September every year.

Enjoy breakfast and check out the hotel to depart to Sapa. Stopping at the Mam Xoi terraced fields. Under the guidance of the guide, you will pay for a motorbike taxi (the cost can be bargained on your own) to visit and take pictures at the most famous terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai. Take pictures freely with shoe-shaped terraces at Ba Nha Bridge area.

After visiting Mam Xoi terraced fields, the delegation continued to get on the bus to Sapa. On the way, you can see and take pictures with the charming scenery at Than Uyen, Tan Uyen, Tam Duong and especially admire the most majestic O Quy Ho Pass among the four great peaks in the North.

Arrive in Sapa, check in the hotel and take a rest. In the evening, you are free to relax and explore around Sapa town.

At around 9:00 am, the tour will start from Sapa town after your breakfast. you will take a 7km of trekking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong to see those sensual patterns of the terraces from above. And then take 3km trekking down to Lao Chai Village, and 4 km through terraced rice fields to Ta Van Village of the Giay minority people.

Here you will experience the tribal way of life of ethnic minorities while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields in Ta Van

village. Visitors will also understand culture, unique customs, traditional crafts such as weaving, touching carved silver, forged agricultural tools…  Come back to the hotel.

In the evening, you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping. Especially on Saturday night, we highly recommend a stop at the Love Market – one of the unique cultures of ethenic minorities in northwest Vietnam. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and you are free to explore Sapa town before checking out the hotel to back to Hanoi.

In the evening, you are free to explore the charm of Hanoi by night.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private vehicle to Ha Long Bay through the extensive landscapes of the Red River Delta.

Arrival at Ha Long Bay around lunch. You’ll be warmly welcomed by Cruises receptionists at the International Tuan Chau harbour. Enjoy lunch in the restaurant. Check in to rest in the room or get on the cruise’s roof to relax, savor the scenery, and hunt for beautiful photos of Ha Long Bay.

In the afternoon, you will begin to participate in activities on board, explore caves, swim or you can enjoy the view or relax, enjoy afternoon tea. Have dinner and activities on the cruise in the evening such as enjoying cocktails (not included) at the bar or night squid fishing.

Today is your last day in Vietnam. Spare some time for shopping and the driver will take you to the Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight back home.
